MOUNT RAINIER - Window to Northwest Grandeur
Known locally as "The Mountain," Mount Rainier at 14,411 feet is the highest mountain in the 48 contiguous states, and the largest single-peak glacier system outside of Alaska. It is the focal point of 378 square mile Mount Rainier National Park and occupies the eastern half of Pierce County. Visitor centers offer year-round activities from sledding and Nordic skiing in the winter to hiking and horseback riding, mountain biking and fishing into the spring and summer.

Open since May 2003, in a new Antoine Predock-designed building, the museums permanent collection at the Tacoma Art Museum is enhanced by a variety of visiting exhibits making every visit a new experience.

LAKE SPANAWAY GOLF COURSE & FORT STEILACOOM GOLF COURSE
Located in Tacoma, Washington Lake Spanaway Golf Course is maintained by the Parks and Recreation Services division of Pierce County and is managed by Premier Golf Centers LLC. From the red tees at just over 5600 yards to the tips at 7014, it is a classic course that appeals to the novice player but also challenges the best players in the region. Fort Steilacoom Golf Course is a fun, 9 hole golf course and features dual tees for an 18 hole round, and is built on 105 acres adjacent to the Western State Hospital in Lakewood, Washington.

LEMAY AUTO MUSEUM
The Lemay Auto Museum showcases the largest privately owned collection of automobiles, motorcycles, trucks and related memorabilia in the world. The collection holds over 3,000 vehicles including some of the rarest on the planet and is located at 325 152nd St E in Tacoma.
Tours begin on the hour Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m.

POINT DEFIANCE PARK
The country's second largest urban park is location right in Tacoma. Extending into beautiful Puget Sound, Point Defiance is home to an award winning zoo and aquarium, waterfront boardwalk, miles of hiking trails, a Japanese Garden and home to "The Taste of Tacoma." You can eat at a great seafood restuarant or catch a ferry to Vashon Island.

NORTHWEST TREK
Northwest Trek features a tram tour of the 435 acre free-roaming wildlife park will allow you to get up close and personal with a variety of northwest wildlife. Home to 200 North American animals representing more than 30 species, and is located just 30 minutes from downtown Tacoma, Washington.

GLASS MUSEUM & CHIHULY BRIDGE OF GLASS
A contemporary art museum with a live action experience. The Museum of Glass hot shop is located in the 90' landmark "cone" where you can watch molten glass turned into works of art. Leave the hot shop and visit the ever changing galleries of art.
Outside is the Chihuly Bridge of Glass, a 500 foot pedestrian bridge and Tacoma's stunning link between Thea Foss Waterway and The Museum of Glass. The Crystal Towers are at the center of the bridge and capture daylight, shining as if they have a light of their own. At night they are illuminated from below to add to the night skyline.
