BOOK A TEE TIME

Starting times are priced based on residency, with discounts for Washington State/PNGA members, Pierce County residents, and Golf Club Members. Rates vary by month and demand—please check the booking portal for the latest pricing.
Proof of Residency: Pierce County and Washington State residents must show valid ID at check-in. PNGA members should present a golf handicap card to receive discounts.

Military & First Responders: Active and fully retired military, police, fire, and EMT personnel will receive the Pierce County resident rate with proper ID.

Demand-Based Pricing: Rates may fluctuate in real-time based on current demand.

Note: Residency-based rates exclude City of University Place Admissions (5%) and WA State Sales Tax (10.1%). Advanced Reservations include all taxes, and no additional fees are due at check-in.

Groups of 12 or more may book up to one year in advance. To arrange a group outing, complete the Golf Outing Inquiry Form, and a member of our sales team will assist with tee time arrangements.

Can’t find your preferred tee time? Our Virtual Tee Time Assistant allows you to receive text and email notifications when your desired time becomes available. Act fast once you’re notified to secure your booking.

All starting time reservations must be cancelled outside of seven days in advance to receive a full refund. Cancellations made between 7 days to within 48 hours of the starting time will incur a fee equal to 50% of the green fee for each cancelled player. Cancellations made inside of 48 hours are subject to the full green fee for all cancelled players, or any short-shows on the day of play.

Chambers Bay is a walking-only course, designed to traverse our beautiful 249-acre site. With challenging terrain, completing 18 holes provides a physical test, earning us recognition as one of the Toughest Walks in Golf. If 18 holes feels daunting, we offer 9-hole rounds and reduced-routing social events.

Caddies: The use of a caddie can greatly enhance your golf experience at Chambers Bay. Please ensure that you reserve a caddie(s) for your group a minimum of 48 hours in advance of your starting time reservation.

Carts: Push and pull carts are available on-site and included with your green fee. Personal push and pull carts are also allowed.

While weather conditions can be unpredictable, we generally continue play unless hazardous conditions arise. If weather prevents a golfer from starting, a rain check will be issued for the value of the round, which can be used for a future booking.

Starting Play: Once a round begins, no rain check is issued. If dangerous conditions (e.g., lightning, snow) force course closure, a full rain check will be given.

The standard pace of play at Chambers Bay is between 4:45 and 5 hours. Players teeing off within the first hour are expected to finish in under 4:45 and stay immediately behind the group ahead. If this pace is challenging, we can assist in rescheduling.

Two practice centers are available:

Warm-Up Range (located near the 1st/10th tee) includes a full driving range and putting green.

Academy Practice Center offers a full range, chipping areas, and a large putting green. Access is included with Academy passes or can be purchased for $30/day at the Golf Shop.

Note: Practice range locations may vary by season—contact the golf shop for current details.

Juniors 13 and under play for free with a paying adult.

Juniors 14-17 receive a 50% discount with a paying adult.

Chambers Bay is proud to participate in the Youth on Course program. Rates are available Monday through Friday on a space-available, walk-on basis for 9 holes only. Times vary—call us for updated availability (253-460-4653).

The Chambers Bay Grill offers a variety of great selections, including burgers, sandwiches, fish & chips, and seasonal options. Click here for hours, menus, and reservations.

Turnstand: Available for grab-and-go items like sandwiches, hot dogs, drinks, beer, wine, and liquor.

Oasis: A seasonal spot for limited food and drinks between holes 3 & 4, 11 & 12, and 14 & 15. Note: Cash only—no ATM on-site.

Preferred Lies in Waste Areas: Players may take free relief when their ball lies in a waste area, within a 6-inch radius, not closer to the hole, and within the waste area. The ground cannot be smoothed before placing the ball.

Chambers Bay offers golf carts to players with permanent disabilities as defined by the ADA. Carts require prior approval (48 hours in advance) and are subject to a caddie fee. Contact Ryan Young, Head Golf Professional, for more information.

Dress Code: Proper golf attire required. Metal-spiked shoes are not allowed.

Smoking Policy: Smoking is prohibited throughout the park, including cigarettes, cigars, pipes, e-cigarettes, and marijuana.
