Chambers Bay is proud to announce that Ryan Young, Director of Instruction and Player Development, has been awarded with the PGA Player Development Award, one of the highest national honors presented by the PGA of America. Ryan was formally recognized on stage at the PGA Show in Orlando as part of the 2026 PGA of America National Awards Class.

From the Pacific Northwest to the National Stage
Ryan grew up in Mill Creek, Washington, where he began playing golf at the age of ten. He went on to compete collegiately at Whitworth University, earning multiple individual victories, including the 2010 Northwest Conference Championship, which secured him NWC Player of the Year honors and a berth in the NCAA National Championship.
After turning professional, Ryan transitioned seamlessly into coaching and instruction, quickly becoming a respected voice in player development across the Pacific Northwest. His national recognition reflects not only his technical expertise, but his ability to inspire participation and growth at every level of the game.
